Tea House Treks

(The Alternative to Camping)

Throughout many areas where we conduct our treks, there are teahouses, which provide accommodations and meals for travelers. A teahouse is a basic accommodation, sometimes with a dormitory style room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price and are prepared by the teahouses. This is a less expensive way to travel in the area. Kirat Treks will take care of all of the arrangements, trekking permits, national park/conservation fee, all necessary transportation (ground and air), as well as guide support. If you wish to bring additional gear, a porter can be arranged to assist you with caring your bags for an additional cost.

What is not included are drinks and snacks that you may wish to purchase and not provided by the teahouse set menu. You must bring your own gear (i.e. sleeping bag, toilet paper, sun block). A list of recommended and essential gear will be provided for you.

This type of accommodation can be arranged in the Khumbu (eastern), Annapurna (western), and Lang Tang Helumbu (central) regions of Nepal.
