Mustang Trek

5 nights hotel - 10 nights camping

Mustang is a separate kingdom. The village of Lo-mangthang is the capital of kingdom. The entire village is located inside a large wall. We can visit the one hundred year old monastery located in the village. The people of Mustang are Tibetan. They have a facinating culture and are Buddhist . Along the way we will view Mt. Dhaulagiri, Niligiri, Tilchho and other mountains. The region is a desert.

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu.
Day 3 Fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu (stay overnight and sightsee)
Day 4 Fly to Jomsom, walk to Kagbeni
Day 5 Chali
Day 6 Tama Gaun
Day 7 Charang
Day 8 Lo-mangthang.
Day 9 Lo-mangthang day of hiking
Day 10 Tang Mar.
Day 11 Syanbuche
Day 12 Kagbeni
Day 13 Jomsom.
Day 14 Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara to Kathmandu

This trek requires entrance fees into the kingdom for up to 10 days costing US$700. Thereafter, US$70 per day. Different trekking areas have
different permit fees. Mustang is a resident area.

Included services provided by Kirat Treks are:

Airport transfer, five nights deluxe hotel reservation in Kathmandu (additional nights can be arranged in advance if you would like to stay a little longer, or arrive earlier), guided sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley and ground transportation, air transportation to trek, National Park entrance fee, all trekking permits, and of course, the fair well dinner.

While trekking you will be provided with a double occupancy tent with a mattress, All meals provided by our experienced staff within the comfort of a dinning tent, portable oxygen chamber and oxygen for high elevation trekking, and toilet tent. All of our senior guides have many years experience trekking in this region, ranging from ten to twenty five years of trekking in the area. They are also conversant in English and other languages. You can be assured that you are in capable hands traveling with Kirat Treks.

If you would like to add on another adventure to your trek, such as riding an elephant in Chitwan or visiting the Anapurna range and Machapuchchhre from Pokara, we are happy to arrange this for you.
